Admission is based on academic excellence and students with any university degree and with a good mathematical background are encouraged to apply. Applications are evaluated continuously from the 1st of December up to June 1st. |

Before entering the online application, you will need to collect and scan the following documents (IMPORTANT: If you want to be considered for financial support, a copy of all these documents should also be sent to angels.lopez.garcia@uab.cat): |

Transcripts from each college or university attended (originals in English, Spanish or Catalan, or an official English translation should be included). Include both undergraduate and graduate work. |

3. |
An essay describing your motivation to work for a PhD, in economics and at the UAB. |
| |
|
|
| |
4. |
If you have a specific interest in a certain field of Economics this should be mentioned. |

| |
5. |
The submission of GRE scores is not a compulsory requirement but it is strongly advised, especially for students whose university of origin is outside Spain. If your GRE score is available, it should be posted to us along with the application form. Our GRE institution code is R0887. |

Three letters of recommendation (to be requested from persons in a position to evaluate your academic performance). Letters of recommendation will have to be sent directly by the recommender to the following address: |
