Financial support
IDEA students are professionals devoted full time to their training and research activities. Financial support to cover tuition fees and living expenses is offered on a competitive basis to students of all nationalities. IDEA makes an effort to obtain full financial support for most of its students.
Currently most of the students receive support through a variety of fellowships and assistantships. IDEA has some limited funds to support students directly. The UAB offers yearly predoc fellowships for IDEA students. Teaching assistantships may be offered to students with a good knowledge of the university's official languages (Catalan and/or Spanish). Research assistantships are also available within the ongoing research projects involving IDEA faculty.
