Master’s Program

First year. Two semesters of course work that constitute the core in the student’s training. To see the list of courses, please click here.

Second year. Two semesters of elective course work and the writing of a Master’s thesis. The second-year courses are the specialization in the student’s training. To see the list of courses, please click here. The Master’s thesis is an original research paper on a relevant economic problem. The thesis is due by the end of June and is defended before a committee in July. After a successful defense, the Master's degree is awarded.

PhD Program

During their studies, PhD students are required to submit their work every year and present it before a small group of faculty members, who will provide advice and evaluate the progress. By the end of the third year, all students are expected to have successfully defended their dissertation before a committee. After a successful defense, the PhD degree is awarded.
