Our cosmopolitan group of students underlines the international focus of IDEA. Current students come from Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Byelorussia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, China, Croatia, Ethiopia, France, Ghana, Greece, Germany, Hungary, India, Iran, Italy, Latvia, Macedonia, Mexico, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Turkey, UK, Ukraine, Uruguay, USA, Venezuela and from different Spanish regions. Although the teaching language of our courses is English, our graduates benefit from the Spanish and Catalan culture and languages during their years in Barcelona, while maintaining a permanent connection with the international scientific community.
Some of our students are motivated by the opportunity to begin a Master's degree and then continue their PhD in this vibrant environment, forging long lasting personal and professional relationships with fellow students and staff. Other students come in order to complete the Master's degree and use that as a stepping stone to a place on a PhD course at one of the top US universities. And some students are attracted by the possibility of studying a top class Master's degree and, helped by our student support system, then going on to find an exciting job in the private sector.
