The UAB ranks very highly in research productivity among Spanish and European Universities. According to the Spanish evaluation agency, the UAB ranks first in Spain in public funding of research (in terms of relative per faculty member). The UAB is located on the Bellaterra campus, by the city of Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia. It is a cosmopolitan city that offers a great variety of opportunities to the visitors and residents. The UAB campus offers Residential Facilities, shops and services and IDEA students are eligible for on-campus housing. |

The University provides language classes for non-native students, sports facilities and other cultural activities. Students at IDEA are entitled to office space and have access to computers, library and statistical source facilities. |
